My name is Harrison Funk, and I am a knifemaker. I began bladesmithing in 2017 when I joined a viking re-enactment group in Calgary, AB and was too cheap to pay for a historically accurate seax. What I came up with was an awful little thing, but I had so much fun shaping and puting it together that I couldn’t help but keep going. From there I’ve gone from making stock-removal knives from mild steel to building my own forge, making my own tools, and creating my own unique knives for friends and family.

When 2020 hit, I suddenly had a lot of extra time to make knives and develop my skills by taking a handful of classes under Chris Green of Black Cat Metal. I love this craft and I can’t seem to stop, so I’ve decided to make my work available to a much wider community.

As a custom knifemaker, I take pride in making them both beautiful and durable enough for a lifetime of use. What makes them truly unique though, is how you chose to use them, the adventures you take them on, and the memories you create with them. Now get out there and have fun!
